Title: Human Resources Market Lead and Consultant
FLSA Status: Exempt
Reports to: Owner
Position Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Market Lead and Consultant will be responsible for driving business in the market, advancing the WhyHR brand, and analyzing/recommending solutions to HR issues with a variety of clients. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas such as business development, training, compensation, benefits, employment law compliance, and policy development and implementation.

Essential Functions Statement:
- Establish networking channels with business owners. Establish community connections. Advise clients on the formulation and administration of various HR policies. Analyze and recommend solutions to HR issues. Develop, revise, and implement HR policies and procedures. Ensure clients are compliant with established policies and procedures in regard to federal, state, and local laws. Answer nonroutine requests for information on policy and interpretation. Develop, coordinate, and recommend changes for the improvement of workflow with clients. Conduct periodic audits of HR activities to ensure compliance with laws, policies, and procedures. Participates in professional development sessions or seminars. Provide support and complete tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave of absences, disciplinary matters, performance, and investigations. Handle employment related inquiries from employees and management staff. Participate in the development and implementation of ongoing HR objective, policies, and procedures. Maintain the client touch point schedule, ensuring each client receive a touch once every two weeks. Create, administer, and process standard HR documents. Maintain compliance, knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources including federal, state, and local employment laws. Revise and/or draft employee handbooks; ensure client handbooks remain up to date with the changes to applicable state and federal laws. Draft new policies and procedures and update existing policies and procedures. Responsible for managing employee relations functions including employee counseling, problem solving, dispute resolution, managing employee performance issues, terminations, and exit interviews. Properly handle client requests through responsiveness and follow up. Track progress, priorities, and deadlines of various HR related projects.

This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a Full-time position with standard working hours between Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Schedule is subject to change based on business needs.
Required Education and Experience
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or other related field.
Experience: 3+ years human resources experience.
Computer Skills: Basic skill level in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word; Adobe software.
Preferred Education and Experience
Experience: Previous experience with HRIS/Payroll systems such as ADP, Gusto, Paycom, etc.
Experience: 5+ years of HR experience working at a Director and/or advisory level to C-Suite or equivalent.
Education: Professional Human Resources (PHR) or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little to no assistance.
