FCCI is seeking a talented insurance/reinsurance professional to join our team. The Reinsurance Manager position offers direct exposure and interaction with senior leadership along with a leadership role on strategic and operational activities related to all reinsurance-related activities.

FCCI's Reinsurance Manager will plan, direct, implement, oversee, and manage all reinsurance-related activities for the company including procurement, placement, reporting, analysis, billing and collection, contract administration, and other related functions. This position will provide strategic input and leadership on all reinsurance-related decisions affecting the organization. A key focus will be to develop, maintain and manage relationships with reinsurance brokers and direct writers, as well asĀ gather and prepare data for the renewal of each contract, while negotiating favorable reinsurance terms and conditions. Regular responsibilities include reviewing the preparation and reconciliation of reinsurance receivables/payables and the aging of balances, as well as oversight for the preparation of reinsurance related regulatory filings. This key role will manage the catastrophe modeling process and make recommendations to senior management with regard to the overall reinsurance program, strategy, and contracts. Reports to the SVP, Controller & Assistant Treasurer. Position is located in Sarasota, Florida.

Requirements

  • Bachelors or better in Finance or Risk Management or related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of reinsurance.
  • Advanced knowledge of property casualty insurance/reinsurance concepts and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles of reinsurance and contracts.
  • Advanced working knowledge of the methods of data collection - especially Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze, define and solve problems; the use of good judgment and decision-making.
  • CPCU designation
