Join a team of smart and motivated professionals. As a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer, you will have broad leeway to analyze problems, propose and implement solutions, and bring new ideas to life. You will participate in all activities pertaining to the analysis, design, development and ongoing maintenance of an in-house Selenium-based framework of automated tests. Automated testing is used to validate CorVel's proprietary software applications used by both CorVel and our customers. You will work closely with other testers, developers, and subject matter experts to prepare and automate test plans, track automation result data, while aligning results with executive strategy.

Part of the team is based in Portland, OR and part of the team is remote. The QA Automation Engineer may work from anywhere in the US.

Major responsibilities include:

  • Provide skilled input for planning, scheduling, and implementation of test automation projects and component level architecture within the automation framework.
  • Participate in defining automation test objectives, strategies, standards, and metrics.
  • Design and create automated tests to expand on our automated regression test set.
  • Debug and improve upon existing automated tests and automation framework.
  • Participate in code reviews.
  • Track and analyze test results, take corrective action, report automation summaries, and update statuses.
  • Present automated test results across the Engineering group.
  • Communicate with cross-functional areas impacted by automation.
  • Interact with programmers and other business unit members to help identify, analyze, and resolve issues.
  • Work independently and with a team with minimal supervision.

Required:

  • 3 + years of test automation experience using Selenium WebDriver or other industry-standard automation tools.
  • Experience developing using object-oriented code, ideally, C# .net
  • Experience with both web-based and client-based software application testing.
  • Experience generating SQL queries including SQL scripts to create or validate testing data - demonstrating a high level of competence and ability.
  • Broad competencies within automated testing tools, techniques, coding languages, and methodologies.
  • Ability to create component-level designs for automation projects.
  • Skilled at debugging code, both your own and other's.
  • Ability to create clear and maintainable code following company coding standards.
  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical personnel, ability to work with minimal supervision, and complete work in a timely manner.
  • Flexible, able to adjust to change easily.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Azure DevOps.
  • Health industry & insurance billing experience desired.
