As a property claims adjuster trainee, you'll learn how to help customers resolve property claims. Primarily over the phone in a fast-paced office environment, you'll build relationships with customers owning property policies while managing the claims process from start to finish. Bring your passion for helping others to our team and we'll teach you the insurance stuff—providing in-depth training so you can confidently and independently adjust claims. Starting your role from the comfort of your home, you'll be provided office equipment and virtual training. However, as circumstances change, such as the situation with COVID-19, you will be required to work full-time in our St. Petersburg, FL office location.

Duties & responsibilities (upon completion of training)

  • Examine and interpret insureds' policies, forms in force, and other records
  • Use varying methods of investigation, including taking recorded statements, consulting with police, inspecting property damage, and reviewing documents
  • Estimate cost of repair, replacement, or compensation
  • Prepares settlement letters, denial letters, Reservation of Rights, and other letters as needed

Must-have qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Instead of the above, an associate degree and a minimum of three years work experience within property and casualty insurance, financial services, customer service, construction, property management, or related field
  • Instead of a degree, a minimum of five years of prior work experience within property and casualty insurance, financial services, customer service, construction, property management, or related field
  • Adjuster 620 License required within 90 days of hire

Schedule: During training 9-6PM (approximately 8 weeks), then 10-7PM EST

Compensation

  • $22-$25 per hour
  • Gainshare bonus up to 16% of your eligible earnings; Progressive rewards each of us with an annual bonus based on company performance
