FCCI Insurance Group is currently seeking Summer Interns in our Information Technology department. You will develop knowledge about the business through exposure to departments throughout the organization. You will focus on developing the skills necessary for success by assisting professionals with day-to-day job assignments. Positions are available in the following IT areas:

  • Development
    • Prospective candidate is currently working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science
    • Has a strong background in web development, including knowledge of HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript
    • Demonstrates strong technical skills
  • Architecture
    • The prospective candidate is currently working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science
    • Has solid web skills, User Experience (UX) background and/or is looking to learn more about front-end applications architecture
  • Data Reporting
    • The prospective candidate is currently working towards an undergraduate or graduate degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
    • Demonstrates strong analytical skills

Data Reporting in IT is responsible for reporting data to external agencies using SAS, Cognos, and Excel and keeping our reporting systems compliant through analysis and testing of regulatory and system changes.

The internship will be at our corporate office in Sarasota, FL

Requirements:

  • Customer-oriented individual with ability to proficiently multitask and prioritize
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with others
  • Willingness to complete professional designation(s) and continued insurance education
  • Demonstrated organization skills and ability
  • Proficient use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA; additional requirements may apply
